Testimonials

“I was a Finale user for about 25 years, and now I’ve switched to Dorico. One of the first projects I did was a score reduction, and I was amazed at how Dorico handled it. In Finale, there’s a distinct input stage and then a score clean-up stage. But with Dorico, there was no clean-up needed—it just gets all the spacing and layout so much better. That efficiency really hooked me.”

Todd Bashore // Saxophonist, arranger, composer and educator

“I’ve switched to Dorico after using Finale for many years. Dorico has so many features that help you produce finished work quickly. It spaces the music beautifully on the page, and if you don’t like something, you can easily adjust some of the settings in layout and engraving options. I started transcribing an 18th-century opera into Finale but abandoned it. With Dorico, I was able to complete the entire opera in one document of 100 flows and 300 pages.”

Dr. Ben Byram-Wigfield // Musicologist and music publisher

“I’ve been a Finale user for more than 25 years, but I switched to Dorico when I discovered how fast it was, especially when editing. Writing large scores for orchestra is a breeze now—what used to take a week in Finale only takes about three hours in Dorico. The first time I used Dorico, it paid for itself!”
