MakeMusic has partnered with Indaba and Matisyahu to launch a remix contest featuring the Garritan World Instruments software instrument library.

Indaba is an online collaboration environment for musicians, and a frequent home of remixing and songwriting contests. Matisyahu is a groundbreaking alternative rock musician known for blending traditional Jewish themes with rap, beat boxing, hip hop, rock and reggae sounds.

Remix contest participants will be provided with stems from Matisyahu’s single “Live Like A Warrior” and ten instrument sounds from the Garritan World Instruments library. Part of their challenge will to be to incorporate one or more of these sounds in their remix.

The Grand Prize Winner, as chosen by the judges from all the submissions, will:

• Receive $1,000
• Receive Garritan Ultimate, a new collection of six Garritan virtual instrument libraries
• Be featured on Garritan’s website and Facebook page
• Be featured on Matisyahu’s website and Facebook page

Three Popular Vote Winners, as chosen by the Judges from the 10 most voted submissions, will each:

• Receive a signed vinyl copy of Matisyahu’s Spark Seeker
• Receive a 1-year Pro Membership to Indaba Music
